Accessibility

Our audience skews older, so readable and accessible design isn't a checkbox for us — it's the point. Here's our commitment.

Our commitment

We aim to meet or exceed WCAG 2.2 Level AA across Seniors Lighthouse, and we treat readability for older adults as a design priority rather than an afterthought.

What that means on this site

  • Large, high-contrast text and generous spacing.
  • Full keyboard operability, visible focus states, and a skip-to-content link.
  • Proper labels and helpful, specific error messages on forms.
  • Respect for reduced-motion preferences; no flashing content.
  • Meaningful structure (landmarks and a logical heading order).

Report a barrier

Accessibility is ongoing work. If something is hard to use or read, please tell us and we’ll fix it. [A dedicated accessibility contact will be listed here once Seniors Lighthouse’s support address is finalized.]
